Animal Aid's Christmas Without Cruelty Fayre

Come and join in the fun at Animal Aid's 17th Annual Christmas Without Cruelty Fayre at Kensington Town Hall, on Sunday 6th December, from 10.00 until 17.00.

There will be more than 85 stands – all promoting charities, campaign groups and ethical traders who are trying to make a real difference in the world. Have a wonderful shopping spree safe in the knowledge that no products have been tested on animals or include any animal ingredients. Help animals, the environment, and reduce your carbon footprint, by purchasing goods which have made the least impact on our planet in their production. Goods on sale include chocolates, cruelty-free toiletries and cosmetics, non-leather boots and shoes, recycled and fair-trade goods, environmentally-friendly clothing, plus seasonal gifts and cards.

In addition to the wonderful vegan food, enjoy lectures, videos, a live auction of celebrity items, and even the kids are catered for with face-painting, a children’s workshop and creche. The ever-popular Press-ups Competition is back, so do take part.

No dogs are allowed in the Town Hall, except helping dogs.

Bankside Frost Fair
Bankside Frost Fair

Please note: There is no Frost Fair or Winter Festival this year. It should return in 2010.

Do all your Christmas shopping in Bankside: shop for your Christmas Dinner items at Borough Market and for your gifts at the Bankside Winter Market. Join in on the Frost Fair-themed lantern parade and watch the Thames Cutter’s river procession, then enjoy a mulled wine and something tasty to eat at the onsite bar or one of Bankside’s many welcoming bars and restaurants.

This will be the seventh annual Bankside Frost Fair, and it has now become London’s largest free winter event that celebrates when Londoners took to the ice as the River Thames froze over during the winter hundreds of years ago.

You could always extend your stay by visiting a number of attractions close by including Vinopolis, Southwark Cathedral, Golden Hinde, Menier Chocolate Factory.
