Carnaby Street

Carnaby Street
Carnaby pioneers light and sound this Christmas.

Carnaby is famous for the unique Christmas installations and this year is no different.  The spectacular decorations for the first time ever  integrate the latest in sound and light technology within large statement pieces.

In between sparkling holographic green holly leaf and red berry garlands, three oversized mistletoe chandeliers hang above Carnaby Street, each housing 22 colour-changing ‘berries’ that are be co-ordinated to music.  The Ronettes track ‘I saw Mommy Kissing Santa’ gives a feel good Christmas vibe and the sound and light performance will take place every day for shoppers to enjoy.

Each shimmering gold holographic mistletoe leaf is adorned with glowing colour changing berries and finished with a chic silver bow. 25 oversized holographic holly leaf chains with red lit berries will be hung in zig-zag formations throughout the area, creating a spectacular display throughout the day and night

Carnaby is known for unique independent stores, unusual boutiques, global fashion brands, award winning restaurants and hip nightlife, making it London’s most exciting shopping destination.  More than 60% of the 135 stores in the Carnaby area are independent, with new design talent nurtured in Kingly Court and a diverse collection of creative happenings and unique concepts in the Newburgh Quarter.

The decorations will be in place until 3 January 2012. Designed by James Glancy Design Ltd.
